FAQ's about Mesotherapy
The procedure
The treatment first consists of a lower strength glycolic peel that assists in delivering the vitamin injections deeper into the skin as glycolic works as a carrier peel due to its small particle size. The peel will then be neutralised and a number of very superficial micro-injections are then delivered into the skin in a pin-prick like manner. The treatment usually requires no anaesthetic and takes around 30 minutes. Directly after your mesotherapy treatment your face may look slightly red but over the next few days the skin will begin to look radiant, glowing and firmer. The skin will appear fresher after one treatment but a course of three to six treatments is recommended at two weekly intervals. To maintain results single treatments will need to be repeated every two to three months however it is safe and beneficial to have the treatment preformed more frequently. All of our mesotherapy treatments include a deep cleanse, a five minute multi-vitamin face massage and a moisturizing skin recovery serum treatment.
How does mesotherapy work?
As our skin ages, hormonal changes, environmental damage, depleted collagen and hyaluronic acid levels all take their toll on the appearance of our skin. As we age our circulatory system also significantly slows and this reduction of oxygen and nutrients hinder your body's ability to flush out toxins, this exacerbates the aging process and causes the skin to develop a dull, sallow, dehydrated appearance. Mesotherapy is effective in combating these signs of aging as it consists of a variety of vitamins, minerals and amino acids that help nourish, rejuvenate, promote collagen and elastin production, and stimulate the metabolism.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is commonly used to rejuvenate skin on the face, neck, décolletage and hands.
How many Treatments Do I Need?
You will need a course of between 3 and 10 treatments depending on the area being treated and the skin concern. Once you have completed your initial course you may need occasional ‘top-up’ treatments to maintain results.
