Microneedling treatment uses an electronic needling device to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which causes the skin to renew and repair itself naturally and safely through the stimulation of collagen and elastin, vital components of healthy skin. The treatment can be performed on the face and body to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, scarring, acne scarring and stretch marks.
At Estetika Clinic we use a device called Exceed™ which is one of the world’s safest and most technologically advanced microneedling devices. Exceed™ is the first and only double FDA-cleared microneedling device for the treatment of both acne scars and facial wrinkles, making it the clear choice for our clinic. During treatment the 6-needle tilting plate delivers up to 150 precise skin penetrations per second without tearing or shearing the skin.
These micro-injuries trigger a process which stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. The Exceed™ is fully adjustable with variable speed and depth settings which means we can customise the treatment to your exact needs and it can be used on all areas of skin – even the thinnest skin around the eyes.
Firstly, you will have a consultation to ensure that you are suitable for microneedling treatment. During the procedure the area being treated is cleansed and a local anaesthetic cream is applied to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. The Exceed™ device is then used in smooth, circular motions on the skin until the whole area has been treated.
During the treatment specialist serums are applied to the skin, where appropriate, which are absorbed through the tiny pin-pricks into the dermis where they can deliver active ingredients to address dehydrated, sun-damaged, scarred or hyperpigmented skin.
Each treatment session delivers powerful results with minimal downtime. For best results we recommend a course of 3-6 treatments and a maintenance session once or twice a year.

The Dermapen can provide results for improving the appearances of acne scars.
The physical nature of “skin-needling” can break up fibrous and uneven scar tissue and encourage the growth of new tissue. Currently there are ablative and non-ablative treatments offered which can damage the epidermis and evaporate the skin leading to thinner epidermis problems. The Dermapen keeps the epidermis integrity fully intact, which quickens healing time and causes less pain.

There is no real preparation needed, for best results we do recommend you follow a thorough skincare routine to ensure your skin is in good condition. Our practitioners can advise you on a routine to suit your lifestyle during the consultation process.
The treatment is quick and relatively painless. You will feel a ‘vibration’ followed by slight heat. Treatment usually takes up to 20 minutes, your skin will be slightly pink and we recommend no makeup is worn for a minimum of 1 hour. Following the Hybrid technology treatment your natural skin colour will return within 1 to 2 hours following treatment. After the Trifractional treatment the redness can last up to a week.
Hybrid – One treatment every week for 3 weeks dependant on healing of the skin
Trifractional – One treatment every 4 weeks for 2-4 treatments.
This varies from person to person. On average 3+ treatments will be required.

I have always been quite athletic, but recently due to injury I have been unable to train and as a result my chest and Abs have gone a little lumpy.
